First Xterra Tri - Sunday July 25th, 2010

a bit nervous this morning...

1. Venue is amazing - great place to have a triathlon
2. Completed the race in 3:30:23 - not the fasted but hopefully not the slowest
3. Enjoyed a well earned and very tasty Doublehaul IPA that Sugar brought for post race refreshments.

Whew...what a day -

1. Up early to prep for travel to Bozeman - love getting up early on a Saturday!
2. Super cool race socks (really its the little things)
3. Beautiful campsite up the Gallatin gateway on Spire creek and enjoyed a great dinner with Sugar, Jess, and Meg

1. Made it through a long work day
2. Enjoyed Friday evening at Caras Park with good friends, good music, good food and of course good beer
3. Got all packed up for weekend trip to Bozeman!

Payday!

1. Any time you get a paycheck that is a positive thing!
2. Kids worked hard at BSHS open field, one bad attitude to sort out but it is girls soccer
3. Was able to play in a soccer game for 15min without any serious calf pain

2. Saw a black bear in the Rattlesnake
3. Dinner with Austen, Wylie and some friends from VA

Why not go fishing both weekend days to the North Fork of the Blackfoot?

1. Second trip of the summer to the North Fork of the Blackfoot
2. Hiked in past the first pack bridge and found some beautiful pools with nice size cutthroats
3. Enjoyed the day with a good friend and finished with a trip to the Big Dipper for ice cream

Hell of a weekend.

Funny story - Courtney texted me to remind me that 4 years ago today was our wedding anniversary - hadn't even crossed my mind what today was - I will take that a good thing and continue to move forward.

1. Biga Pizza for Dinner - new Wednesday Dinner spot- waitress super hot!
2. Scott Grasky went with me for a Blue Mountain bike ride
3. Enjoyed a tasty whiskey at the end of the day (Makers)

1. went for a mtn bike ride up blue mountain, felt good after the half marathon
2. enjoyed quiet dinner at home
2. Watched Man on Fire - love that movie

Sunday July 11th, 2010

Missoula Marathon!!!

1. Completed the Half Marathon (1:44:20), not a PR but a good race anyway
2. World Cup Final!!! - Spain bested the Netherlands in a great final 1 to 0 in the 119th minute.
3. Physically and mentally exhausted which was good - have a sort of date on Monday for ice cream...curious to see where that ends up.

1. Up early and got most of the days errands done before noon.
2. Watch Germany beat Uruguay in the World Cup 3rd place game, then took a sweet nap!
3. Explored some familiar water that has changed a bit on the Bitterroot. Didn't catch many fish enjoyed the time walking around out there.

1. Made it to work on time!!! (an accomplishment consider Thursdays activities...)
2. Completed a nagging project at work

1. Great Rattlesnake ride up Spring Gulch with Wylie - and even though we had to walk a portion, it was still super sweet.
2. Dinner at Bigga Pizza - Mo was working - need to find a way to get her phone #

1. Beautiful day for soccer and hanging out in Missoula
2. Survived day at work after long weekend.
3. Enjoyed pints with our co-rec soccer team at Paradise Falls.

One more day of fishing to complete the weekend!

1. Finally got all the glass up to Phillipsburg for recycling!
2. Enjoyed a great afternoon up at Rock Creek - sometimes its nice to fish solo.
3. Laid out a 60 foot roll cast and nailed a sweet cutthroat to finish the day.

Already looking forward to fishing next weekend!

Not a big fan of fireworks or the amount of drinking that takes place this weekend. Seems like most people consider that the only way to celebrate America.

1. Float on the Blackfoot with Jeremy Lurgio and Wylie Carr - Wylie's first go a rowing for fishing and considering the wind he did fantastic.
2. BBQ at Shane and Jess's - BOCCI BALL!!! Meg and I lost big but was still a fun time
3. Laughed really hard with Caroline at the BBQ over a funny innuendo.

Doesn't happen often enough but I love laughing so hard that I cannot breath.

1. Fishing with Nikki up Rock Creek - she caught three fish and one was a nice 16" cutthroat
2. Enjoyed a tasty new IPA from New Belgium - Beer Ranger
3. Osprey game with Wylie and Austen

1. Had beers with a 23 year old hottie at Al's and Vic's
2. Made it to work by 730am
3. Lunch time beers while watching the World cup with co-workers
