Don't believe I put down my three positive for Friday -
April 16th positives -
1. Enjoyed first gin and tonic of the spring/summer 2010 - super tasty.
2. Played in an actual soccer game for the first time since the knee injury
3. Scored a goal
There were a few other positives that day but I will move on to Saturday and Sundays
Saturday April 17th, 2010-
Beautiful day! Up early to get ready for a 10k and fishing upper Rock Creek all day with Austen. Caught the end of the Man U Man City game - Man U came up with the winner in stoppage time.
Weather for fishing - wind was blowing quite hard on the drive up but was calm at Gillies Bridge (top of Rock Creek). Temps hovered around the high 50's and low 60's.
Fish still not on the skwala, they would look at but not take true March Browns, they would hammer cripples (gray bodied) and Grey drake adults (size 14s). Got a few fish to take the purple haze. No nymphing but I am sure that would have been super productive as well.
1. up early on a Saturday - something about getting up early on days when I don't have to work
2. Helping Austen hook a large Cutthroat on Rock Creek - she didn't land it but did a great job just getting it to take the fly
3. To bed early - was asleep by 1030pm
Sunday April 18th, 2010
Jeremy came over at 7am to watch the Arsenal Wigan fixture - 3-2 to Wigan in a heart breaker for Jer. There is always next year.
1. Up early on a weekend day -
2. Cleaned out the garage which is a strange thing to put down as a positive but having some organization in my life I am hoping will help other aspects that need some assistance
3. BBQ with good friends (Jer, Care, Lachlan, Quest, Atlas, neighbor cat (Brutis), Jess, Sugar
Would like to mention the afternoon bike ride as well, need to get my legs a bit stronger. Weather - Sunny, breezy and about 70ish. Love the spring time.
