I have grown to love the weekend since becoming a 9 to 5er. Not sure how much longer I will survive the 9 to 5 routine but for now it will work
Friday April 30th -
1. Wylie Carr completed his Masters Defense - congrats Wylie!
2. Free Blackfoot IPA and Pizza at Finn and Porter!!!
3. Got out of work early -
Saturday May 1rst - MAY DAY!!!
1. Great 10.6 mile trail run - kicked my butt
2. Breakfast with Joel, Andrea, Sky, Jamie, Tyler Bodie, Kaitlyn
3. Brew-fest with Jamie -
Workout - 10.6 mile trail run - mucho mucho hills
Brew-fest is an interesting concept in Missoula. Quite a few people are there to taste new and different beers and enjoy the atmosphere of music, food and good people. Quite a few people are there to get complete plowed or "pie eyed" to quote Brooke. Makes for an interesting dynamic - we were there for the good atmosphere and tasty brew. Learned that Jamie likes IPAs - always good to have an IPA buddy!
Sunday 2nd
1. Early morning run - shorter but good to get up early and get the run out of the way
2. Decided on purchasing an 8 weight rod for steel-heading and salmon fishing
3. Found some new water with friends on the Bitterroot (east tucker access, downstream)
Weather for fishing -
low 50's partly cloudy/sunny - strong winds, water temps around 47 degrees. Was difficult to pin point a hatch due to the wind, plenty of Grey drakes and BWO's in the water and plenty of fishing rising to emergers or cripples. Need to explore that water in more detail.
Seems to me that is a good weekend.
